My visit to the Chilean lumber company Ignis Terra reminded me that wood is in my blood.
My grandfather's last name is "Woods" and his father made a living as a botanist. My father is a forester. As a teenager, I spent a summer working in a lumber mill very similar to the one run by Ignis Terra. After I met my husband, I learned that his name "Hayashi" means "woods" in Japanese. How does all this connect to my work as an executive coach? Woods are places teeming with life in various stages of growth. So are well-run businesses. Perhaps what really runs through my blood is a passion for understanding and cultivating growth. Since you are reading this I suspect that learning and growth are also part of your personal brand? Right? How do you share that with others so they know you are a committed life long learner?
